Who we are

OUR VISION

OUR MISSION

To inspire and accelerate climate action in the global occupational therapy community.

OUR STORY

We are a grassroots network of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and others interested in accelerating climate action at the individual, organizational, community and systems levels in health care.

We are located in what is currently known as Canada (Turtle Island), and strive to connect a global network of occupational therapy practitioners in climate action.

We are committed to connecting and supporting occupational therapy practitioners and communities to take action now. We want enable knowledge and resource sharing and inspire occupational therapy professionals around the world to accelerate climate action efforts every day.

This network was established /founded on Earth Day 2023 (April 22, 2023) by Giovanna Boniface and Jeff Boniface. Giovanna and Jeff have a strong desire to accelerate climate action in occupational therapy in the areas of decarbonization, mitigation, adaptation and resiliency. They are occupational therapists based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, privileged to live and work on the unsurrendered and occupied lands of the Coast Salish people, specifically the lands belonging to the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nation – The People of the Inlet.
